Colour drenching decorating project.
Pudsey, Leeds.

We recently completed this decorating project for a new client in Pudsey, Leeds. The client was after a full ‘colour drench’ in Lick Paint Pink 13 Nashville House which is a deep, warming pink tone, not too dark, just right - a goldilocks colour if you will.
There was all the usual prep on the woodwork and walls but we also had to repair some areas where the wallpaper was peeling or had completely come away. The wallpaper was tackled first, once that was done it was onto sanding, filling and prepping all the woodwork, ceiling and walls.
As the back of the door was being painted on this project it too was sanded and filled and then required some stain blocker to stop the tannins coming through once it had been painted.
With the client liking the idea of a flawless finish on the walls, woodwork and ceilings we decided that spraying all the paint was the best way to achieve that. So after a bit of masking all surfaces were airless spray painted - we didn’t even touch a brush on this project.
Once the paint had dried we de-masked, refit the door, cleaned up, vacuumed and we were done. -

Areas of the previously painted lining paper were peeling or had completely come away. This meant that they needed patching up without removing all the paper in the room and redoing it.
To achieve this marked where the bad areas ended and ran a laser line down the wall. We then cut straight lines with a sharp knife from the coving to the skirting on each side. The paper between was then removed and replaced. The adhesive we used was Beeline yellow top which is great stuff and never lets us down.

The clients were really pleased with the results we managed to achieve on this colour drenching project. They sent us this feedback afterwards:
‘We love it, we love the colour, so glad we went for that now. Thanks so much for all your hard work on this, we are so so pleased with it. We’ll definitely be recommending you.’
